Design brief

Bathroom

• Convert existing bathroom into new en suite wet room.

Storage

• Remove existing built in clothes storage cupboard and replace with larger built-in sliding door wardrobe.
• Installation of ‘hotel style’ luggage rack

Flooring

• Installation of new flooring to provide zonal distinction between sleeping area and new dining/activity area.

Lighting

• Installation of diffused mood lighting
• emergency lighting facility in the event of clinical emergency ‘crash lights’

Entertainment

• Provision of wiring on wall opposite patient bed to allow for installation of large smartscreen tv and mobile gaming unit.

Blinds

• Installation of new diffuser blinds on windows

Wall finishes

• Creation of a homely atmosphere. Replace existing white walls with soft warm pastel colours.
• Provide one or two feature walls using bold colour scheme and/or wall art to define zones within the room
• Installation of a whiteboard wall to allow patients to express themselves.

Furniture

• Installation of new built in window seat
• Dining table with x2 chairs
