The amazing Down’s Syndrome Scotland Karaoke Disco is BACK! And this time we are removing the upper age limit to include all adults with Down’s syndrome, not just our teenage members!
What: Down’s Syndrome Scotland are hosting another REAL LIFE Karaoke Disco!
Where: The King Robert Hotel, Stirling, FK7 0LJ. Please contact the hotel directly if you wish to book accommodation and let them know that it is for the DSS function to secure a special room rate of £80 per twin/double room and £100 per family room for bed & (highly rated!) breakfast. https://www.kingroberthotel.co.uk/
When: Saturday 31st January from 7pm until midnight.
Staffing: ALL attendees must be accompanied by a family member or their own support worker who will take responsibility for them and will be available should they need assistance during the event. Support workers or accompanying family members must remain on site for the duration of the event.
Tickets: £5.00 Please purchase 1 paid ticket per attendee with Down’s syndrome. There is no charge for supporting persons. If for any reason your group needs to contain more than one family member or support staff, please contact Kirsty on 07918566503 or email kirsty@dsscotland.org.uk .
Parking: Parking is available at the hotel.
Bar: There will be a bar available serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. We are aware that some attendees aged 18+ may wish to buy alcohol. Hotel staff will be checking ID of anyone lucky enough to look under 25 years old requesting to buy alcohol.YoungScot and NEC cards (bus passes) will be accepted as valid forms of ID. DSS staff are not responsible for monitoring alcohol consumption.
Food: A buffet of savoury party snacks will be available, including vegetarian options. Anyone with specific dietary needs may bring their own food to the hotel.
Photographs: : DSS staff and volunteers will be taking photographs throughout the evening which may then be used to promote Down’s Syndrome Scotland online and in print. If you do NOT want yourself or your child to be photographed, please let a member of DSS know before the event or as soon as you arrive.
Other important information: The function suite is on the first floor. Please be aware that there is no lift in the hotel.
