Down's Syndrome Scotland is going to the Chelsea Flower Show!

It’s Down Syndrome Awareness Month and we are thrilled to share the amazing news that Down’s Syndrome Scotland will be showcasing a truly inspirational garden celebrating all things Down’s Syndrome at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in May 2025 .

The Down’s Syndrome Scotland Garden is fully funded by Project Giving Back, the unique grant-making charity that provides funding for gardens for good causes at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Our show garden will be in front of an audience of over 140,000 people who are expected to visit the Show in May. This has the potential to reach a global online audience of 20 million.

The garden has been designed by two remarkable garden designers, Duncan Hall and Nick Burton of Burtonhall Garden Design. Both newcomers to RHS Chelsea, they drew their inspiration for the garden from Duncan’s seven year old nephew, Liam, who has Down’ syndrome and is supported by Down’s Syndrome Scotland.

After RHS Chelsea, the garden will then relocate to its new home in Scotland where it will become a permanent feature at Watch US Grow in Palacerigg Country Park in North Lanarkshire. This wonderful charity already supports young adults with Down’s Syndrome with gardening skills.
