Take a Break Applications open on Tuesday 13th May 2025

Applications for Take a Break are opening at midday on Tuesday 13^th May 2025.

Take a Break can accept applications from parent carers, and eligible kinship carers, of disabled and seriously ill children and young people, aged 0 to 17 years old.

The aim of the programme is to support unpaid parent carers’ quality of life, health and wellbeing by providing cash grants to help them access a short break. It is funded by the Scottish Government and administered by the charity Family Fund.

Take a Break grants can be used flexibly, to help meet the interests and circumstances of the carer.
