What is FriendZ Space?
FriendZ Space is our programme of online sessions for adults with Down’s syndrome.
Each month we will have activities and sessions that you can join.
These sessions are on lots of different things, including craft sessions, karaoke, bingo and quizzes as well as keep fit and disco.
The sessions allow you to meet other people, chat and make new friends.
They can also help with your wellbeing and give you space to share what is going on in your life and get support from other people.
The sessions are on Zoom. Zoom is an app like Facetime or Skype which lets you make video calls using the internet. Groups of people can meet on Zoom and chat together.
You can put Zoom on your phone, iPad, tablet, or computer.
You can book your session online. You can join as many as you want each month. We keep numbers joining the sessions quite low so that it is easier for everyone to take part in activities, chat and share. Places may go fast so book quickly.
These sessions are for people aged 18 and over, we are also running online sessions for young people aged 13 -19 through our TeenZ Space programme. You can find out more about TeenZ Space here.
